Care home boss in Southport was convicted of multiple frauds after stealing millions of pounds from elderly residents. David XXXXX Senior was jailed for 21 years following the longest trial in the history of Liverpool Crown Court.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trial, which lasted over a year, uncovered how Mr XXXXX befriended wealthy pensioners with no children at Barton Park Nursing Home in Southport. He then groomed his victims to become a beneficiary in their Wills and obtain power of attorney. Mr XXXXX liquidated his target\u2019s assets before draining their bank accounts of the proceeds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The QC prosecuting this case, told the trial that Mr XXXXX deliberately isolated victims from friends and family and used his aptitude to \u201cworm his way into the hearts and finances of wealthy residents and to pray upon their frailties and vulnerabilities\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A solicitor has been jailed and struck from the roll after stealing from vulnerable clients in a fraud involving Lasting Powers of Attorney. Alison XXXXXX, who specialised in wills and probate was convicted of fraud totalling over \u00a385,000 and sentenced to 24 months in prison at Salisbury Crown Court. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamiel xxxx, Graham xxxx, and Lyn xxxx: Former manager and owners of Amxxxx Care Home in Dudley. Were convicted in a landmark elder fraud case for faking an 85-year-old resident’s will to steal her \u00a3175,000 estate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elizabeth xxxxxx: A finance administrator at a care home in Uttoxeter who defrauded the facility of more than \u00a3200,000. Was jailed for two-and-a-half years for doctoring invoices and creating fake refunds\u2014including one labeled as “Tesco milk”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ann xxxxx: The former manager of xxxxxfield House dementia care home in Malvern, who used a resident’s bank card to steal \u00a322,500. She was convicted of fraud and given a suspended jail term.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Brookhaven Manor and Brookhaven Lodge fraud case involved care home owner Lawrence Brackstone, who was jailed for draining \u00a34.2 million from 92 dementia-wing residents between 2015 and mid-2024. He exploited a fraudulent admissions document he claimed was routine paperwork.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
